OK i have an observation that might help...

Try different CF cards. I've noticed its more sulky about the CF cards than the TF330 or 534.

I only attach IDE once it has run from floppy successfully, it's not related to the IDE.

OK its been a "hole in my bucket" kinda a day.

First my A500 worked but then died. Then I got it going but the PSU died.

Ended up replacing the CPU socket on my A500+ (which was needing doing to be fair).

I'm sorry to report though that i cannot reproduce this at all on any of my Amiga's :(

This is so weird that i guess somebody with affected setup should send you their a500 mobo + TF536, including CPU.

If it helps, when uncooled Diagrom hangs here:

CPU: 68030 FPU: NONE MMU: NOT CHECKED

Checking for fastmem
Pressing left mousebutton will cancel detection (if hanged)

Checking if a 24 Bit address cpu is used: NO
- Checking for A3000/A4000 Motherboardmemory
- Checking for CPU-Board Memory (most A3k/A4k)
- Checking for CPU-Board Memory (most A1200)

Cooled it gives:

CPU: 68030 FPU: NONE MMU: NOT CHECKED

Checking for fastmem
Pressing left mousebutton will cancel detection (if hanged)

Checking if a 24 Bit address cpu is used: NO
- Checking for A3000/A4000 Motherboardmemory
- Checking for CPU-Board Memory (most A3k/A4k)
- Checking for CPU-Board Memory (most A1200)
- Fastmem found between: $40000000 - $43FFFFFF
- Checking for Memory in 24 Bit area (NON AUTOCONFIG)
- Checking for Memory in Ranger or Fakefast area
