And the rest has arrived.
I think I now have enough 74LS04s to last a lifetime. :-)
It may be a reflection on when I was at Uni...but we used to use NAND gates to implement pretty much any other logic function as a stop gap.
It may have been 'inspired' by the VLSI parts of the course we were on...
The ROM image which was mentioned as being available in the article I was using for reference has disappeared. So, if I don't find a source then the project is dead in the water.
Bother!
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.
OK. Looks like the ROM image has been lost over the years and no-one has any knowledge, so it's a dead project.

Well, that's my Christmas present to myself ordered, a 3D printer.
This is mostly going to be for use with the model railway, producing buildings etc. but there will be some retro-computing jobs that it'll come in useful for too.
It's a Bambu X1 Carbon with AMX unit (mostly to keep the filament dry and store it too rather than swapping filaments).
I can see this being used a great deal over the next few years.

Oh no :hide:
Hehe... This one is the first generation of printers where you're not expected to rebuild it every week to keep it running. :-)
Oh, and I'm not Exxos so it probably won't break. ;-)

Did you really have to go and jinx yourself like that?

Thanks to the QL community there's a chance that the ROM has been tracked down but this won't be able to be looked into until after Christmas unfortunately.

Looking good, fingers crossed the ROM will turn up.
