Re: Archie A3000 inbound
Just a little update:
Since Exxos Forum is more ATARI related than other retro machines, I will continue the Acorn A3000 thread on the Stardot Forum.
For interested persons, please check here:
https://stardot.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27807
Cheers.

Hi @HigashiJun
I understand you not wanting to have to post information in multiple locations - but I thought I'd just let you know that I've been following your (and @rubber_jonnie's) Archimedes repairs with interest.
I'm an infrequent visitor on stardot at the moment (I've a Master plus a couple of BBC model Bs - one is my first ever computer... ;) ) but I'll try to pick up your progress as/when I can.
Just wanted you to know that you have some forum members who follow but don't necessarily comment!

Re: Archie A3000 inbound
We was primarily a Atari forum yes, but any retro content is generally allowed. We have a Amiga section and various 8bit machines etcHigashiJun wrote: 31 Oct 2023 08:38 Since Exxos Forum is more ATARI related than other retro machines, I will continue the Acorn A3000 thread on the Stardot Forum.
IMHO there isn't enough active Atari peoples anymore to generate much content. So we must diverse into other areas. It keeps things fresh and interesting with more diverse content.

Re: Archie A3000 inbound
@HigashiJun I'm with the others, just because it's non Atari doesn't mean it doesn't belong here, and although it started life as primarily Atari, I really feel it's grown to become a great forum that's dedicated to all things retro.
I've posted about so many different platforms here, from ZX81 to TRS-80 and multiple consoles, not just Atari, and see the forum as a great repository of all things retro.
I also love reading about/following your work, and feel it has a place here, and whilst I am a frequent visitor to Stardot, this is my retro home for everything :)
Diversifying is a good thing, as it brings a wide variety of visitors here for different reasons.

Re: Archie A3000 inbound
So, here are the last news:
I have finally received my AKA12 podule and found some time to perform the following mod:
As you can see, a pin socket is fitted onto the AKA12, so I can connect a second podule on top of it.
The second podule will be a modified ZIDEFS IDE from CJE, but I haven't ordered it yet. The current one will remain as it is, ie. non modded.
In order to make the two podules work, I will have to connect the PS signal from pin 9 (or 10) on IC33 to the third pin from the right on SK3.
I also wanted to insulate the loud speaker on the right side, since the ULTRA VIDC enhancer is just close to it:
This red rubber cap looks really good, and I also decided to insulate the left speaker even if it's not necessary...
