Is that what the other person who discussed his Ace Tracker issues experience as well?

Can you try this.. Its for audio crackles test..

There is a small smt capacitor on the center v3 output.. Bridge over it with a small wire and see audio crackles return.

Yes 2 different problems.

The firmware I sent has some small changes to bus arbitration as it seems to be related. But i can only guess at the problem.

When I get home from work in a few hours I'll try to install cubase.. But does it need SCSI to create the problem?
I have a old SCSI drive I used on my falcon in the 1990s.. I think it still works.

I managed to load ace tracker by disabling V3 patch delay, but only sporadically. It is still not stable.

When I am able to get it to load, and I am able to load a module (20% of the times) after some time playing the song I get CPU Overload, and it coincides with increased audio tracks / voices. Ace tracker song is played from IDE and the SCSI cable is disconnected.

On another note, I patched my Cubase to create CAF_060.prg and have placed the EXCEP060.PRG in my AUTO folder is should. Results are the same as without it so still digital bit crushing after some time.
In both patched and non patched Cubase, I must activate TT Ram otherwise I get bit crushing from the start and much more several red led hiccups than with TT Ram where its mainly bit crushing sound and almost non noticeable red led hiccups.

Yes, the audio files must be read from a SCSI HD by Cubase Audio. There is a message thread somewhere about HDDriver v 7.93 being the one that could work the best with Cubase Audio as it uses the least SCSI messages on the DMA bus. I tried installing it a while back but lost all SCSI drivers being visible to the driver, so I'm back with 12.53.

Is this with or without DFB1X?

DFB1X in disable mode, top cap (near R221T pad) bridged - I hear no audio crackles in Cubase Audio.

On the topic of Ace Tracker - I see a tremendous difference launc speed between stock falcon and DFB1X. UI in stock falcon comes up immediately and with DFB1X is takes time, goes through a black screen and then oftentimes the green Led get stuck and I have to reset the machine.

With the DFB1X but it takes many attempts and is inconsistent. I have also reported back the launch speed difference between stock and DFB1X.

Thanks.. That's likely important information if DFB1X is running slower with acetracksr.

I wonder if you could benchmark your SCSI drive with and without DFB1X..

Not sure if this is compatible..

Yes, most of the time. Sometimes it would get further, but not often.

When it did work tracks would run for a while and then Ace Tracker would complain about CPU overrun, i.e. the CPU wasn't keeping up, and stop. It then wouldn't be able to run the track again (from memory).
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.
