Just seen you meant the link to the RP under the MFP, yes done that too.
Checked on my pcb photo whilst sitting in a flooded bathroom waiting for the Mrs friend to go buy a new tap.

Re: Forgottenmyname - Progress
Hi Forgottenmyname.
How is the floppy problem solving going.
I have been looking to see if it was something to do with the floppy drive being used. Tried and old drive a modern one and a HxC floppy device.
Got all of them to work but noticed the old floppy drew a lot more current and had to turn up the bench psu to get it to work. 1.54 amps for old floppy and 1.19 on new one.

Re: Forgottenmyname - Progress
Hi Icky, no luck so far but not had time to set the mega and the stf up together (desk too untidy too)
I have tried a couple of different 1772's but not got a spare YM, thanks to the one I tried to unsolder the pin came half way out, then snapped off flush with the body, Got some on order from China (would order from UK, but pay day isn't until the 15th)
I think i'll have it sussed once I have the Mega to compare against with the scope.
Any luck with the sound on yours yet?

A part from testing the different floppy drives out I don't think I will get much done today.

Re: Forgottenmyname - Progress
It's a recapped etc SR98 that id done recently with parts I got from your store. If I remember, it's outputting about 5.12V on 5V line.
Also had been using my bench psu, but used the sr98 with my old Mega floppy which needs 12v as well.

Re: Forgottenmyname - Progress
So, I have the scope out and comparing it to my Mega 1 C103277 board.
So far looking at the WD1772, 1 major difference is that VCC on the mega is 5V and on the STF is only 3.3V.

Re: Forgottenmyname - Progress
So, my first bit of poor soldering!
got 5V on WD1772 now. I hadn't put enough solder on the pads to make the ground and 5v layers of the board, silly me!
Best check the YM2149 and 68B50 then whilst i'm at it.
