Wow Exxos that is quite a feat of engineering. I just compared your new board to my 520 STM board.

Cool! well actually base form as STF of course :) but all that now "blank space" will be where all the expansion ports will go :)Icky wrote: 28 Aug 2018 20:54 Wow Exxos that is quite a feat of engineering. I just compared your new board to my 520 STM board.

Cool, sockets it is then :)exxos wrote: 28 Aug 2018 16:17 Well I am shipping sockets for them all anyway. Problem is, if a chip gets red hot , then unsoldering it will be a pain.. also if something is wrong somewhere, might need leg bending, track cutting etc...
Soldering direct is best for sure, but not a good idea on a test board..

Re: Ordering the Alpha board
Glad you are all getting them pretty quick! Thanks for everyone's support!
I will be listing 4 more boards in my store shortly... those are the last ones... I'm not producing anymore of these boards as of course it is un-tested.
See the roadmap for clues on whats to happen over the next year... https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... =19&t=1028

Re: Ordering the Alpha board
I will list the last 3 boards in my store later today.. but please don't order any other parts as I can only send the board in a jiffy bag and can't pack other items in there as well (not without being crushed)..

Re: Ordering the Alpha board
Chris I've been looking for the schematics for the board, I have enough parts to start building. I want to check the resistance on the pullups prior to starting full build up. Also is the DiagROM image up some where? Maybe we could have a thread for debug tools. Hope to have power on by next week end. The memory board and processor I just ordered from your store is going to be my long pole.
Thx

When building the board I used a combination of the following to help:
- Schematics diagram is here - https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... f=19&t=199
- Parts List is here - https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... 1040#p7982
- Silk screen layer image to help with placement (in parts list area) - https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... 1040#p7984
