I very much appreciate your words.

It's been 5 months since we lost Dad, and 7 since we lost Mum, and thankfully time has taken away the worst of the sadness leaving us with just practical things to do, like clear the house and get it valued.

Oddly, despite being born there I don't feel any real attachment to the house now Mum and Dad are no longer there, but it is nice to have some mementos.

Thanks :)

I'd like to add my condolences on top of those from @mrbombermillzy.

Mum Mum has just gone past her 85th birthday & Dad died a couple of months shy of his 85th (3 and a half years ago now) so know at least some of what you are going through (though it's a different process for everyone).

Appreciate your words, thank you.

It's funny about what you say about the process, as I feel like even my brother and I have been affected by it all quite differently.

Yes, very much the same with my brother too - I guess it's as much about the individual person's emotional responses as anything.

I know it's not the purpose of forums such as these, but I'd like to think the majority of members understand and sympathise with anybody going through difficulties of one sort or another.

Agreed, it's not the purpose of these forums, but I agree that everyone here is understanding and sympathetic, and I can say that the support I've had here has really helped.

Pretty pleased with the picture quality on my £10 ebay TV:

It works great on SCART with my BBC Model B.

Now I have finally got rid of the smell of cigarette smoke on it, it can be a permanent fixture in my retro space, and I next need to test the other inputs.

Nice purchase...I need a "new" old TV with SCART connector(s) to replace my old TV which died late last year...and my budget would just about stretch that far...

Would you share the model number of that new (to you) TV please?

If it has a good picture from your Beeb, then it should be a good candidate as a replacement for my defunct Philips LCD TV (well over 13 years old)

TIA
