I generally assume people will reuse their DIP 68000 from their donor machine.

It could be included in the basic kit, but of course every little thing which is added is going to increase costs every time...

If everyone wants a CPU included and I can probably do that...

Perhaps @plee1024 doesn't realise you can use either DIP64 or PLCC, either is fine.

I was just going by the previous BOM, I will let others decide I could go either way. :D

I think the ROM is going to be the biggest problem anyway, most people will not be able to burn their own and they will have to get it from the store, so they might as well get additional parts at the same time.

I think the essentials is just simply going to be the MFP, OSCs, reset switch.

Technically one of the oscillators could be recovered from original motherboard along with the reset switch, but reset switches are difficult to remove and they are 30+ years old are not going to be great anyway. So I think it's just worth the hassle trying to reuse the old ones.

Not much of a update, but currently they are stuck in customs, no great suprise. It will be the large heavy packages and value which be why. Low value stuff always gets though fine. So I'm dealing with that now. I've had this crap happen before, so I hope it won't delay things to much...

Nice video @coonsgm:

Like the way you explain why people may want an H5 to be able to use a stable dev or upgrade platform.

Looks like they are almost here :) Just waiting for the enormous import costs tax bill now :(

Customs wanted my EORI number, I mentioned this to the PCB company and they say it is the first time it has ever been required.... No great surprise that I end up being the first one I suppose..
