Naa, just build your own bodge board, much more fun 😁exxos wrote: 19 Apr 2020 20:10 I still need to do my DMA bodge boards  It makes me wonder if in years to come people are going to be asking what that little board is for, just like people keep on asking what the blitter bodge board is in the MEGA's etc

Still working on it slowly :)
Below you can see the first socket ready for either the Three Amigos board or Three Amigos + MAD10 board. FPGA board is still in Eagle at the moment. You may notice a small jumper pin on the SIMM socket. Thats the MAD10 line. My OCD is a little off that I could not do the MAD resistors in SMT.
Soooo much neater without sockets and with SMT resistors and caps.

I like the surface mount idea, I'm stealing it for no.3
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

@terriblefire Was going to build the Alpha with SMT stuff as he loves through-hole so much

Re: Icky's H4 Mongrel edition build x 2
All that is left to do is two patches on the H4 Development Strain Edition :) I cant help naming things.
Not bad as I think I started building these three boards last Saturday.
The header sockets in the PLCC locations I found a few pins a little tight so just a little small wiggling they eventually go in place. This is pretty bare bones I am not putting any rear sockets on other than serial port to diagnose if this doesn't boot properly.
Below is a close-up of the plug-n-play area for stock to whatever else we want to play around with around these chips such as the yet to be tested MAD10 (16MB schematic) and eventually an FPGA board.
And finally two plug-in boards with one in situ.
