I use the patched TOS 4.04 for the DFB1 from @Badwolf for the Fastram Support.Falcons with Alternate RAM require to reduce the maximum number of bytes
that are transferred in a single SCSI transfer to 64K. Otherwise a crash or
other errors are possible.
ALTRAMFX addresses this problem and has to be placed as the first program in
the AUTO folder. It is in particular meant to be used with the Afterburner040,
the DFB1 and the CT*. ALTRAMFX replaces AB040FIX of previous HDDRIVER
Can all registered uses please login, even just for a few minutes..

Thanks :)

Re: DFB1X, MAPROM and SCSI
... had the same problems with Fastram and SCSI on the Atari Falcon and Uwe Seimet fixed it.

I am sorry for creating confusion as I worked on what I believe are parallel issues: TTRam & SCSI and crackled DMA.exxos wrote: Fri Jul 25, 2025 11:12 am Your not going to get anywhere trying to solve DMA issues until basic things are fixed first. If you cannot do the work yourself I suggest you find someone local who can do modifications for you. If you are not confident in them, then you could inherently make things a whole lot worse..
I think you should just concentrate on one problem at a time because you have several threads open now, and it is becoming immensely confusing for everyone involved trying to figure out what you are and are not actually doing.
The first got resolved with a HDDUtils patch I posted earlier, meaning I can use TT Ram.
As for DMA, I will be testing it once I install back clock patch v4 and report back with findings. As a side note, the DMA test application did not produce any fault (red background) running for a few hours, however the audio still crackles so the patch is probably needed.
