Hope the rest of the day isn't too uncomfortable.

I think we are going to be similarly lighter in the bank balance when we get her back from the vets this afternoon...and I wonder what her brother is going to think of the 'haircut' when he sees her tomorrow morning (yes, the two of them from the same litter have actually ended up in the same village and see each other most mornings and have done for several years now).

As long as he doesn't laugh or snigger at her, he should be ok...
Thanks. Hope everything goes well with her, our dogs are precious things :)

Yes, me too. Almost worse than when one of the family goes in for any procedure...

Hoping to hear something in the next hour or so...

Cool, I'm sure she'll be fine if just a bit discombobulated :)

Speaking of discombobulated, that's how I'm feeling too. The anaesthetic has mostly worn off so it's regular painkillers for now, but feel like I've been hit in the side of the head with a baseball bat. TBH the dentist did a really excellent and quick job, no stitches either, so I was pleased.

Just managed some tepid soup and bread and butter but have to be super conscious to eat on the right hand side. Back in bed now, head throbbing.

We've got her back now - mostly good news, no sign of the worst-possible scenario and generally not as much of a problem as we feared. Still a few more test results to come back in the next day or two but so far pretty good news all things considered (at her age).
I think we're more in shock from the vets bill though!

I also think that we take longer to recover from these events than we did in our youth, so just keep trying to give yourself chance to recover!

Glad to hear your dog is OK 😁

Yeah, healing definitely has slowed down for me, but my mouth is usually pretty fast to heal still so fingers crossed it will be OK quite quickly.

A good deal better thanks, no doubt due to the Panadol I had this morning :)

Not sure who came up with effervescent painkillers but they are my hero!

I'm attempting to work today, so far OK, but I'm not pushing it.

Hows the dog doing?

Glad to hear you are improving! Good luck with the taking it easy while working...never quite works out like that for me...

She's doing OK, thanks for asking - eating some of her food at least and was a lot better after I sat & watched some programs with her on iPlayer for a couple of hours to help her settle before bed last night (usually some of the Dr Who series from the early 2000s seem to do the trick)
:D
