Re: PiRTOII and ColecoVision Megacart builds
OK, so I'm still in France, however with some time on may hands I've ordered all the PCBs for these projects so I'll be home on Saturday and hopefully they'll arrive early next week and I can crack on with them :)

Re: PiRTOII and ColecoVision Megacart builds
OK, back from France and I have these waiting for me :)
So all good for the PCBs when they arrive. And it looks like they'll be shipping very soon :)
Trouble is I'm off to my black belt assessment on 2nd November to see if I can attempt my 2nd Dan grade at the beginning of December, so Saturday is going to be a no retro day for me and I might be a bit worn out on Sunday.
Still, none of the projects is massively difficult, so potentially I can do something even if I am worn out on Sunday. Unless they come earlier :)

Re: PiRTOII and ColecoVision Megacart builds
Nice one! Good to see the Colecovision getting love.
Speaking of PCBs. my PCBs also arrived and the megacart design seems to work well. I managed to cram 90 ROMs into it. There's a bit of unreliablility, but I think that's actually my Colecovision clone. Once I get the case properly 3D printed for it, I'll get one of my friends with a real Colecovision to test it.
Also my controller replacements work really well and I'm happy with those too :-) Quite comfortable in the hand, now and the buttons are all quite useable. You can't use the overlays of the original, but I suspect most people will be fine without that functionality.
Cheers!

Re: PiRTOII and ColecoVision Megacart builds
I nervously tested my EEPROMs from Ali Express this morning as they looked kind of dodgy, but both tested great and I was able to read and erase them. Fingers crossed I can write to them :D

Crossing fingers you get the ROMs working. I find I get between an 80% and 90% yield on AliExpress ROMs :-)
The clone is a "Leako" - https://github.com/barbeque/leako , done by someone I know through Discord.
It was a challenging build, but fun :-)

Re: PiRTOII and ColecoVision Megacart builds
Woo hoo, my PCBs have made it from China to Germany, so the suggested Thursday arrival is looking very likely :)
