Like others, I suspect this isn't a DFB1X problem explicitly, but it's possible the longer data path (from the expansion port) or the added capacitance on the buses is the cause.

You don't seem to say explicitly, but I assume with the DFB1X removed it works?

and it resets constantly or I get 11 bombs.
IIRC 11 bombs is a line-F exception, which is common when the data bus is undriven (FFs all around).

Two things I would suggest.

Test 1: assuming the above (that it works with DFB1X removed) does it work with DFB1X disabled (farther right jumper set)?

Test 2: try to source a ridiculously short IDE cable. The shortest you can manage to fit both the DVD and HD on. It's not permanent, it's a test.

If test 2 works, there are inline IDE buffer boards you can buy.

good evening, thank you for all your answers. As I explained a little above the main problem the bad crc rom message under the atari logo before the memory check came from the nec dvd burners (2500 and 2510) but with a lite - no worries. no more message. When I deactivate the dbf1x everything works even the necessary ones. on the other hand I encounter crashes if there is a slave on the IDE regardless of the support.
I don't use an SD if there is a slave it doesn't work, I just use a CF reader or an HDD my falcon is in tower I have the space.
before with my ct60e I had an hdd and a nec and it worked in 060 or 030. moreover I had left the copro on the motherboard I had not seen that it was preferable to remove it.

Pretty sure it was configured like that (I don't think my SD2IDE allows it to be a slave) but will confirm that this evening & let you know!
Yes, SD is the master, CF is the slave in my Falcon setup (CF gets moved between a Win 7 box and the Falcon to transfer files quickly, so that one is non-bootable for HD Driver).

Not yet managed to find out where I purchased the Sd2IDE adaptors from...let me know if you need me to continue the search (probably tomorrow now)...
