Do not attempt to install this RAM upgrade using sockets! Firstly, it's highly unlikely it will fit under the power supply, and it could potentially cause the RAM board to short out against the PSU's metal casing, leading to serious issues.

This kit is specifically designed to be soldered directly and should never involve the use of any sockets. By adding unnecessary connections, you may have inadvertently caused damage through excessive soldering and desoldering.

When using round header pins, only round header sockets should be used—avoid cheap sockets from China, as they often contain contaminants that lead to poor connections. Wiper sockets are unsuitable because they create a "round pin, square hole" mismatch. Discussing which socket is better is irrelevant here since sockets should not be used at all.

I've emphasized this many times: if you're not following the installation instructions and instead doing your own thing, don't expect support when issues arise. You're essentially conducting an experiment with a high likelihood of failure!
