Thanks for people's interests..

The project certainly isn't dead, but with everything going on lately, it is not currently on my radar unfortunately.

Not being able to ship to Europe anymore has put a huge spanner in the works with basically everything. All my in and outgoings moneywise was relatively stable and predictable, but without EU sales I don't know what revenue will be generated over this year now. I started ramping up production on a few projects, and now I basically have a huge chunk of the market no longer accessible. So is going to take me a while to figure everything out financially. Also don't forget I just put into production 50 motherboards which cost several thousand and basically wiped me out financially nevermind all the other things ongoing.

I also need to fix several STE motherboards in order to try the STE536 on every revision to make sure there are no known issues, or if there is, I know how to fix them. but again I just don't have time at the moment to fix them, let alone do any more testing.I am also swamped with multiple other projects which are going into production at the moment.. Just not enough hours in the day....

Realistically it's probably going to be several months before I'm able to get back to this project unfortunately :(

I need to get another board spin made because there has been various tweaks since the previous board..

I *could* get a few more made up, if anyone is interested, the condition as shown in the images below...

BUT, it would require skilled people to finish off the assembly, program the ROM, solder the headers and CPU socket etc, know how to program the PLD.. and not expect everything to work right from day 1 as I still haven't (as previously noted) done any large beta testing across various motherboards yet. Anyone who would want one of these boards would be considered a beta tester helping out with development... And not continuously pester me to fix issues any time soon.. Or even expect every problem to have a solution...

So declare your interest if anyone wants to help move this project along...

I am buying enough parts to make 10 boards, but I only really intend to get them made in a batches of 2 or 5... There's not much point getting any more made at this point I think.. but 10 would be the max I could get made this time around anyway.

I don't have a price yet.. it takes time to add up every single part.. but at a guss , they maybe around the £120 as shown in the images, but its only a guess.

If there are no (or very few) other takers, I'd potentially be interested (as much to help you move it along) - I'll double-check what board revisions I have (one with external Blitter, two with internal Blitter but IIRC only one of the three has the F series logic on the clock, so I've thus far only bothered to get one of your 32MHz boosters for them).

So, knowing which board type you've already checked would be good to know (I'll look back in the previous posts to find out) then I can see if I have any that are expected to work to some degree...

I've a few steps to complete before I'd be ready to build one up, hence why I'll help out but state up front that others will probably get there before me1

This is my current setup... But as we now know 2 boards really behave the same anyway...

Of course the later the board is more chance of it actually working properly to start with...

Thanks @exxos - I have one of your PSUs that I could use...and the Fast ROM switcher (but not yet fitted & tested) if needed.

Does this just use the standard 8MHz clock form the 68k socket or does it need the 32MHz feeding in? If it's just the 8MHz then I should have a chance for it to go into any of my STE's...

It has a built on oscillator for 50MHz CPU... A fully built STE536 doesn't need anything but plugging in...

The exception is that motherboards may need updating with fixes to get them to the latest spec.. But currently my motherboard "seems fine" but I haven't yet ran it for three days continuously to find out how stable things are yet ....

+1 for interest on buying, and after seeing latest video from BW's Technoshed, also glad to supporting a struggling UK maker in the ST scene in the latest troubling times!
