I believe I have one Jon.

But before you get too excited, its back to the same old broken record I play; i.e. its buried behind a cabinet with books, photos and vases on. On top of that, its Lucys birthday this weekend.

The question to ask, I guess, is how soon do you need it?

Ahh that's cool.

I'm not in a hurry TBH, so take your time :)

Hope Lucy has a great birthday :)

Hi Jon, I just signed in tonight just to say that the box I *thought* had the old processors in, did have old processors, just not the older ones.

Im hoping to have a bit of time this weekend and as a bonus, without any destructive gremlins dancing around the house, so should be able to dig out another box, which I think this IC may reside.

Im sorry about the delay.

It breaks my heart to report that I was wrong Jon :(

I *finally* found my old relic CPU/FPU box. but the closest thing I had was a 80287.

Normally Im pretty good remembering what has been stashed around the house. But not this time.

Im so sorry.

No worries, I appreciate you taking the time to look.

Minor change of plan, I'm putting this on the back burner as I need to locate an INS8060 and an INS8154 for my Science of Cambridge MK14. They are super expensive on eBay, so the 8087 can wait for a bit.

Thanks.

TBH I haven't looked in a while, and I've spent the last week in France, so not really been trying.

ATM I'd rather put the money towards a CPU anI/O IC for the MK14, and they come out about £80-£90 for a pair, but I will come back to the 8087, but the book 8088 will run without it and the MK14 won't run without the CPU.

Ahhh god damn you @alexh, I couldn't help myself once prodded and my plans are off sideways!!!

I just found one on eBay from a UK seller I trust, £34.

I'm paid in 10 days, so I'll get the other parts then...

Sorry. But it could have been worse... like my random bid from last month. These N501's notoriously self destruct and I don't expect anything less than unrepairable but my offer was so much less than the advertised price I wasn't expecting a yes.
