3D printer globby direction changes ?

@rubber_jonnie that's what linear advance is supposed to do. Though it just ends up with gaps before the blobs :roll:

I was just messing with Cura, but think maybe just going for pure infill rather than shells would be better.

Yeah, I think the 20mm wall thickness is the problem, it's just laying down so much plastic, the slowdown at the corner is causing a bulge and the linear advance you mentioned isn't coping well.

If you only intend for it to be a template for a metal part, so you can test fit before having it made, then pure infill would probably do the job.

Yep. Though I will round the corners to see what that does. I will likely have to print another. Current one been running a hour already and its a 4-5 hour print. So don't want to keep stopping it.

Rounding corners may help but it is still sharp turns on the internals anyway :roll:

I guess the likely lesson here is, don't print squares on the 3-D printer :lol: :roll:
