"I can quick collecting vintage tech any time I want...really...I swear I can....honey just one more computer please..."
I often roll out the usual arguments:
1) Variants are important. Those 3 are not the same machine, technically speaking....
2) It came in a job lot of other games, so obvs. i need to buy the actual console/computer to test it first, the i will sell it...
3) It was a bargain, they usually go for hundreds...
4) It's just resting in there until the next 70% off fees weekend...
5) That? Oh I mustve pre-ordered it years ago...
There are all good arguments. Also you might want to consider:
  1. I am preserving them for future generations to enjoy.
  2. Would you rather I went out to the pub?
  3. Don't you want me to be happy?
  4. It's a relatively cheap hobby you know, what if I wanted to go golfing instead?
  5. At least you know where I am at night.
  6. What would you like to do as a hobby?
  7. Think of all the E-Waste if I didn't fix them.
Of course there's more, but this is just what I could think of right now...
