Do you already have a PC Engine / Turbo GrafX-16?
They are quite cool things. The PC Engine Duo - Shadow of the Beast disc is well worth a play (for fun) as it has enhanced gfx and sound over the Amiga version (albeit arguably not quite as good).
I've been on the hunt for a Panasonic Laser Active with PC Engine module for a long time but they are currently beyond my budget.

This is a PC Engine with Super CD-ROM² combined into a single unit.

The PC Engine SuperCD version of SOTB has more frames of animation, sprites and 16-bit 44KHz sound (i.e. CDDA)
But because it is by a different pixel artist and musician both arguably lost a little bit of the original. e.g. They dropped the parallax background in the tree and the castle so they could have more colours in the foreground but for me it lost the depth of the original.

@alexh Not sure if it's just a 'bad' YT video encode, but it seems to have choppier scrolling too.

It is, basically as @alexh says, an NEC PC engine and Super CD-ROM2 in one.

I don't and have been looking for some time.
I was also eyeing up an original white PC Engine, and some briefcase interfaces, but the Duo appeared at a reasonable price so I decided to go that direction instead.

Hoarding would imply that we buy multiples of things and never use them :)
I don't have many multiples (Mostly Atari), but my stuff does come out to play:
This is the 'ready to use' area :)

Just the encode... it's silky smooth. I've changed the video to a better one.mrbombermillzy wrote: 24 May 2023 09:20 @alexh Not sure if its just a 'bad' YT video encode, but it seems to have choppier scrolling too.
