I assumed Exxos was looking for a non-conductive cleaner for use on/around live electronics

Never assume anything where @exxos is concerned . I wouldn’t be surprised if his next ask is the resistance of baked beans. :hide:alexh wrote: 19 Jan 2023 14:19 I assumed Exxos was looking for a non-conductive cleaner for use on/around live electronics

But aren't there specific products for that purpose? And he said that mixed with water would help, but that presumably would increase conductivity ???alexh wrote: 19 Jan 2023 14:19 I assumed Exxos was looking for a non-conductive cleaner for use on/around live electronics

I was thinking something more domestic, like you have a carpet stain at home next to your desk, caused by accidental wine/beer spillage and it is right next to some electronics (like a server) something you don't want to or can't turn off?
Wondering if cleaning the carpet right next to a live server may cause a short?

I admit you have much more imagination than me.alexh wrote: 20 Jan 2023 11:02 I was thinking something more domestic, like you have a carpet stain at home next to your desk, caused by accidental wine/beer spillage and it is right next to some electronics (like a server) something you don't want to or can't turn off?

It's for detecting foam build up in a waste water tank basically. I will do a blog on it all when I get chance. But time's in shortly supply for blogs currently.
