If I were you, I'd go to eBay and search for HN27C4096. Look for the PLCC package with the UV window.

I also use these erasable ROMs to test combined ROM images I've made, before burning to OTP ROMs. It can get a bit expensive to burn images to OTP ROMs and then find they don't work.

Ironically I have those ROMs as well. Just one of many items which hasn't made it to store yet Lack is space doesn't help.

One thing to bare in mind is the UV ones are only good for stock machines. They won't be fast enough if the V1 STE booster is used.

The -10 is a 100ns device. the -85 is an 85ns device. The 85 is probably the better bet, I'd say.

The TwiSTEr has on-board flash memory (4 banks); so - usually - you would not run it with a DUAL TOS on the mainboard, anyway.
