New TF1230 user...Help required Only 16mb ram shows up

Yep....tries the above software to test the Fast Ram.....that also came up with quite a few errors :o So I contacted Sordan.ie for guidance.... :D not sure if I will get another TF1230 as they seem to be all faulty in some way....unless its my A1200 1.4 mobo.

Are you running Test Kit from the workbench ? always best to run Test kit from bootable floppy as it will be a clean startup, I actually just tried TestKit from floppy and the memory test on my TF1230 was fine, so try from a floppy boot if you have not already done so

Yeh i did see that on some other forum....boot with no startup-sequence then run AmigaTestkit (no assigns etc or mmu libs) still the same output...Would booting from floppy make any difference

Yes it will, as it is a clean vanilla boot, so boot from floppy

Right...found my issue.....I have a Solas RGB controller plugged into the Clockport on my Rev 1.4.....If I unplug the Clockport cable...and run Amiga Test kit I get NO ram errors.....as soon as I plug it back in the errors return......So I`ve contacted the Developer of the Solas.....to see what he says.

Might be a firmware issue on the TF120 or Solas....?

The Solas is still technically in development and not on general sale :)

Yeh...had my Solas for a while now...had it working in my A500+ I have been chatting to Rob Cranley.....he`s looking into the issue....his TF1260 works fine with it......Still very interesting though :D
