Maximilian wrote: 14 Mar 2022 16:20 There is a lists of recommended fixed you can do to upgrade your motherboard, but I cannot remember anything about a fix for a kickswitcher.
Those are more for minor bus and stability issues.
Seeing the schematic there isn't a lot that can interfere with that switcher on a 6.2 board.

What kind of switcher do you have, do you have a picture of it?
How was the led connected?
Hi again! Can you please provide me with some links for motherboard upgrade?
I am a little lost, the gadget uk videos are not very precise in what to remove and what to replace and sometimes i have difficulties in understand his british accent
Thanks!

I could be wrong but I think he is confusing the 6.0->6.2 upgrade described by George Robbins from CBM (Your motherboard will already have had these done)

Subject: A2000 Rev 6 rework instructions (tentative)

Status: R

Please try these and get back to me with your perceptions of efficacy...

Field Upgrade / WIP rework:

Remove RP901 and RP902 by flexing until they break off

Solder 2.7K 10 pin "pullup" resistor packs along side of
U603 and U604, such that the common pin is soldered to
pin 10 of the IC's.

Solder a 1K resistor between pins 11 and 20 of U605.

Production Changes:

Delete RP901 and RP902.

Insert resistor packs along side of U603 and U604 before
wave solder.

Change value of RP604 to 470 Ohm

Change value of RP903 and RP908 to 1K Ohm

Change value of R1000, R917 and R111 to 680 Ohm.

Change value of RP101 to 2.7 K

I cannot find the link again, but the v6.2 fixes were definitely in there and I believe there were more, but nothing special if I remember correctly.
And as always "do not believe everything on the internet"

Were you talking about this video from Gadget_uk?

That one is talking about the A2091 SCSI card and changing out the bus buffers, that mod has been talked about in different places like:
https://ftp.fau.de/aminet/docs/hard/Amigafix.txt
But that looks like a v4.x mod.

None of these mods will help you with that kickswitcher.
This one of the versions of the Kickswitcher:
https://www.amibay.com/forum/want-to-se ... ght=tuxbar
But the forum isn't working correctly at the moment, so I cannot dl the manual.

Personally I think the Kickswitch is broken or you are using the wrong kickstart chips or something.
Alexh gave the best advice, just install Kick 3.2/1 and use WHDLoad/maprom for the other stuff.
WHDLoad will fix a lot of issues with the 68030 and games that expect an 680000, that you will not have with the Kickswitcher.
