Indeed it's worth reading my first post in this thread . Also note the strikes viewtopic.php?p=94266#p94266
Twice as much post this time of year and Royalfail are on strike half the time now.
Some post is moving fast, as a German package arrived in just a few days, but I think there is at least a month backlog of mail yet.

Re: Postal Service undoubtably going to be under great strain again at Christmas
I'm going to close the web shop until the new year. Christmas time is bad enough with extra packages in the postal system. It's even worse as Royalfail are always on strike. Stuff is going to get lost and damaged. So there is no point in processing orders right now.
I'm doing a full store closure and not going to accept orders as most people won't read the information about not being posted until the new year anyway, and I don't want the hassle of dealing with such people or dealing with loads of people whose package hasn't turned up yet.
Plus it's not fair on my girlfriend walking 2 miles in the freezing cold to the post office as it's setting off her asthma as well :(

Re: Postal Service undoubtably going to be under great strain again at Christmas
The store is back online but accepting orders and is still currently disabled until the New Year.
@Icky Pointed out that people could not get the install pages by the web store because it was off-line. Though these links just point to my main website mostly anyway https://exxosforum.co.uk/atari/last/
Though I also started getting Google bots emailing me saying they were having problems indexing the page. After all the battles of trying to get my store indexed, I did not want to go back to square one with it all again.

The store is now back online and ready to take orders again. Though please note we may not be shipping until the end of the week at the earliest.

Hi,
Finally, my package arrived in Germany! :D
Sent out from Uk Nov 28th, 22
Reached Germany Jan, 8th, 23
At my desk Jan, 19th, 23
German postal service was also not really quick
But I am happy now!
