Well unfortunately I seem to have one of the parts deliveries that "gets lost".. 5 weeks and counting now.
I am sure it will show up, but man this is a buzz kill on the build. I am going to start desoldering the ports from the donor board.

For those following.. as it usually works, as soon as you complain your stuff did not show up.. it shows up!
I have my bits..
BUT - later yesterday afternoon as I was desoldering the WD controller from the donor board my desolder tool stopped heating up.. its a Yihua 948.. and from a video I watched on Youtube. I think it is the thermal fuse? I will open it up today and check it. One thing that throws me about this device is sometimes I get smoke from the machine itself.. I never find anything wrong, but I am not sure what is heating up inside the machine. Nothing there to heat up.. but I will inspect again.

Re: Bikerbob's H5 C1 build
Seems it was not the thermal fuse.. sigh.. and a heating unit is as expensive as replacing the whole gun.. So it is on order.
Hopefully this one lasts longer than the initial one.
Is there a youtube video or anyone documented the build process?? I am just not sure what everything on the board does?? aka settings.. also are there things I need to add.. I guess I will build everything I know how.. and then show a picture and ask if there is anything I am missing.. but jumper settings would be great.
Where can I read about those?

OK, so I have everything in place. I have not soldered everything in. I also have the decoder board that is not shown.
Is there anything I am missing besides jumper pins and blocks???
Thanks

OK, I am all soldered up!
Exxos, the decoder has the row of pins on the bottom.. would I be ok to put that in say slot 2.. and soldered the pin row rather than what I did.. putting it in a socket?
