Built my first TF536

Not yet. All the docs were purged, and even links here to the documentation are dead, so what I have gathered from reading posts here is this:

I need to install x3sprog on my pi
Connect GPIO pins of the pi to the TF536 pin header (pins 7, 9, 13, 29, 33) -- I am assuming dupont connectors are ok? Correct me if not before I blow something up and release the TerribleFire and magic smoke. :) Someone said earlier in the thread to not connect the 3v3 of the pi to the TF 536, and instead power the board from the two pin 5v header.

issue the x3sprog in the proper syntax to flash the firmware:

sudo xc3sprog -c sysfsgpio -p 0 firmware.jed:w

Is this all correct?

Is sysfsgpio_creator a different program I need to install, as well? I had assumed that was just part of the command line syntax of the x3sprog command.

Yes it is part of the program. Just use different command.

Success! It flashed the Xilinx fine with the RPi4.

Plugged it into my 500+ and was greeted with the KS screen, and I can boot from floppy. However, I am not getting any IDE activity, and the CF card I was using on this computer already isn't being detected. What am I missing? Does the 5V and GND lead on the card need to be connected to anything?

So I tried a couple other CF adapters and cards, with no success. Then, I tried a disk-on-module I had just removed from my 4000T prior to upgrading it to a SCSI2SD. It worked the first time. I am thinking, then, that both CF adapters I tried are incompatible in some way with the card.

Definitely not, especially with the DOM sitting vertically. This is my test-bed A500+, so it rarely gets closed. I'll build a relocator next as well as try another CF to IDE adapter to see what happens.
