@mrbombermillzy I just nearly crapped kittens thinking my floppy drive was broken...

I went back and did a test with a file that worked in the past:
20201104_202113.jpg
20201104_202113.jpg (472.87 KiB) Viewed 5433 times
This worked fine.

However, when I try this:
20201104_202506.jpg
20201104_202506.jpg (450.69 KiB) Viewed 5433 times
I get this error:
20201104_202459.jpg
20201104_202459.jpg (397.29 KiB) Viewed 5433 times
It has too many tracks.

Have you tested this on an original machine?

Im presuming the problem is that its a HD floppy image and you are trying to write with a DD drive?

If you dont have any joy sorting the above out, I will attempt to recover the files from the original genuine floppies (though they are really on their last legs now and wont read totally). I can then send you the original DD disk images.

My drive is DD yeah. I used to use HD floppies formatted to 720K on my last Atari and have successfully transferred all that material. However, the insert mechanism started to fail, so I'm superstitious about using HD disks on this new machine.

If you can try and get the DS ones that would be appreciated.

I wanna try out as many programs as I can before I complete my set up. Just got some more absorption tiles to fit and a 4-Track repair and I'm 100%

I have had a message back from the maker of SoundLab. He says he no longer has access to it and so can't provide me with a full version.

My only hope would be to find one in the wild.

Is anyone in possession of the full version? I'd be willing to pay for it.

Soundlab is ideal as I can leave my Notator dongle in and still use it via my VGA adapter's sound out.

Thanks.

So...thanks to the guys at Atari Forum I've located SoundLab version 1.1 which has .wav support.

The contents were a bit messy so I did some checking:

I've cleaned things up and provided it here with a sample .wav file.
SNDLAB_1.1.zip
(491.1 KiB) Downloaded 185 times
I've found that half the CD sample rate gives a nice but listenable LoFi effect without just sounding like a LoFi effect. (SoundLab has a max of 30khz anyway)

Me playing both sources to test tuning:

Here are the 2 sound files:

Soundlab 1.1 files hosted here: https://www.planetemu.net/rom/atari-st- ... dmj-m-noid

This is still unregistered but better, as I can now play the sound files on both PC and Atari.

Also, this:

I've altered this in the provided zip folder.
