Mains side the main smoothing cap is a 400V 33uF

The one thats gone fishy is a 10V 1000uF cap.
Here's the other side ( DC low )..

Steve wrote: 17 Aug 2020 11:15 I would recommend just replacing the entire board with a Meanwell PSU. Just jump on YouTube and type 'meanwell amiga' and you'll see lots of guides. (I did this myself, they're really great)
I'm not a fan of the chineseium caps they use in those.

All ordered, had to order 2200uF 50v instead of 40v, but should be fine..

the princely sum of £11.00 from Farnell ....

Could be another Amiga Power supply rising from the dead !

I must have been lucky cause mine had Nichicon inside, unless they were fakes :)

They arrived and installed them this morning, it's alive ( and no fishy smell )..

And the Amiga that I got with it, ( seals intact ) seems to work, but I don't have the wire for the 520 😔 so unsure about video, but the lights work and the drive does the appropriate clicky seeking type noise... Very Happy

For a test could you not use the mono composite video out instead?
Just remembered the A520 does colour composite out too, might be a option with modern TVs, I guess RF is no more :(
Hated them A520 modulators they always seemed to blow up on me
