Is the drive following PC connection and not shugart connection standards (as the Atari desires) and that's what screwing things up? Just a thought...

Ok so I opened up my MegaSTE
I found the W401 and W402 jumpers. I've tried all possible settings but Drive B: still doesn't work. When it does on my STFM.
Guess I'll just need to test my code on the FM rather thant the MSTE.
On the plus side I've found my MSTE has an ATONCE 386 emulator card, so may shove that on E-Bay, not sure if they are sought after
