The video DAC is as good as things can be. If you want a better solution, you would be better getting a STFM.

Well, at the moment I'd rather need an information what to expect from transistors replacement as you mentioned in your article with certain improvement, not considering DAC VIDEO mode (maybe just not yet) ;)

Nice to see you here @ctrl.alt.rees, I'm a frequent viewer of your channel :)

FYI I can honestly say my STM has terrible jailbars on Low/Med res, and I have a modern PSU and the original RAM was replaced with a 4MB upgrade from @exxos, so fairly sure they aren't the culprits.

Interestingly, Hi res is just fine. This is testing via a VGA adapter BTW.

It does seem to be a fairly regular issue though, you're not alone.

FYI @rubber_jonnie I doubt Rees is watching this thread since he opened it five years ago and hasn't been active since. @HCRX27 necroed the thread back to life :)

Its also why I mentioned a while back that maybe we should install the extension to automatically lock threads after a year of inactivity to stop this sort of thing from happening..

Sounds sensible to me.

What's wrong though with the thread, if this or similiar issue is a typical situation across different motherboards, yet there can be some differences? Is there a quota on the server? ;-)
Anyway, that's how it looks on my machine.

I'll compare it after transistor replacement is done and share the result, so at least there will be more documented knowledge into it :-)

You can't use external images I'm afraid, it's not permitted on the forum, you'll need to upload them and place inline in your post.

@rubber_jonnie
Indeed, thank you. I was looking for, but somehow missed attachment option earlier on. Edited :)
