Hi and nice collection.
With the lockout mod (I have also done this one) yes you can play US and JPN games but they wont have the exact correct timing (as i understand).
Can all registered uses please login, even just for a few minutes..
It helps build a picture where our "good traffic" is coming from..
Thanks :)

The mod of removing leg 4 of the lockout chip doesn't change the frequency of the games between 50 / 60hz, it just allows them to run. To swap between pal 50hz and NTSC 60hz you have to swap the CPU, PPU and crystal. I guess you could piggy-back the chips and enable/disable them via the VCC pin but the stack would be too high when combined with the NesRGB board I installed.bartekmalysz wrote: Wed Jul 15, 2020 2:11 pmCan't you just do jumper wires to disable chip? This way you can play all regions without need to open it up.Steve wrote: Sun Jul 12, 2020 1:21 pm * Opposite to what they say, I socketed both the CPU and PPU. This just required removing some plastic from the base of the unit for the increased chip height. Reason being, so I can easily change between PAL or NTSC by swapping chips.
PM with details of your mod, interested in what you got there.
