Tom
I've recycled mine into a case to house my et4000 and isa adaptor for one of my Megas after the drive died. It was just the right size
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

The rhomboid long button floppies in the STF(M) use the standard Shugart IDC connection.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

So this is all I know until the items arrive

And this is the STFM that I have that needs repaired.

So my hope is that I can do it. There's no rush though, so I can explore at my own pace, carefully and not just make a mess of it. I feel like I do need to open the drives anyway, even if just to clean any dust and lint out, clean the heads and grease the worm screw etc, check caps for bulging etc. So hopefully at that point I'll see what's what.

That may already be a double sided drive then.

My hope is that Atari made some SF354s double sided before changing the model to SF314, like they did with 520STs adding the modulator for a while before changing the badge to 520STM.

It'll be interesting to hear if what looks to be a DS/DD drive in Tomswork's 354 works as that.
