Agreed. Unfortunately first batch will need to be blank. Until we figure it all out.

Then i'll gladly get them to do the assembly.

If they dont... I have a contact that can do the assembly in Scotland.. Probably not as cheap as JLCPCB.. but since he was my Best Man maybe i'll get a good rate (probably have to do the setup myself).

Funnily enough I’ve been watching BBC Alba all day.

Peat n Diesel were on the new year program and they were magic.

Ok according to the BOM.. there are 85 Caps on this board.

Tidying up the actual BOM so that the passives can be assembled.

JLCPCB only do single sided assembly but i think getting the caps done on the bottom is probably a really sensible option.

I suppose there might be a trust issue here that the parts listed at https://jlcpcb.com/client/index.html#/parts are specified exactly as what they say they are rather than selecting from a wider range of possibly higher quality trusted components from e.g. Mouser.

I'd be happy to take a punt on them as they seem like a decent setup.

Just out of interest, At a glance If you go to 'Tools' Menu -> Statistics -> "Element" Tab in Eagle what does the breakdown of caps on the top vs bottom layer look like from the frame on the bottom LHS? Might be necessary to generate the report file to total them up more easily.

Well they'll do it for about $7 apparently ? huh... ok i'm gonna order 5 of them boards and see what gives.
