But that's the problem, people don't or can't.sandord wrote: 03 Jan 2019 21:15 If you only set a file size limit, not a resolution limit, the occasional image of schematics or a motherboard (which can really benefit from a high resolution) can still be uploaded if the author pre-processes it a bit.

Re: Images attachment sizes reminder
There is a extension which does it somewhere, but I don't think I got it working.. was thinking more of having 2 upload buttons.. normal and compressed... Depends how much the extension hacks stuff about I guess...

Yeah but that only applies to motherboard images and schematics. Every other image should be fine with auto resizing. By not limiting the resolution, only the file size the schematic people can still upload their huge resolution files.exxos wrote: 03 Jan 2019 21:26But that's the problem, people don't or can't.sandord wrote: 03 Jan 2019 21:15 If you only set a file size limit, not a resolution limit, the occasional image of schematics or a motherboard (which can really benefit from a high resolution) can still be uploaded if the author pre-processes it a bit.

I agree that limiting the file size is probably the way to go.sandord wrote: 03 Jan 2019 21:37 Yeah but that only applies to motherboard images and schematics. Had to use this today :
https://www.bulkresizephotos.com/
Took seconds, reduced 35mb of pics to 2mb. Seems easy enough to use?
