One last thing I noticed, the reset switch pins are fine, but the metal can has no holes for its tabs. No biggie again, just something to consider for the next iteration.

Yeah, no template for the switch :(, had to use just 3 holes for it. Probably be a lot of things like that, its the case of, if I did everything perfect first time, it would be another year before the board would get made... I think the thing was sat idle for like a year already :roll:

I figured that would be the case, I know this board won't be perfect, hopefully by bringing this stuff up, we can get the next revision sorted out for this sort of thing. I presume it needs an Eagle template or something similar?

Started mine too. Soldered in some of the sockets so far. Chips are only placed on top of the sockets.

Just been looking at how to fit Exxos' Falcom RAM board as I could not find an old one out there.

Looks like the board needs to be extended higher to allow the sim to fit underneath where the MMU is.

Going to try some longer pinned headers.

Arrived safely in New Zealand :) it's true what they say sometimes about how seeing is believing. It certainly is impressive, and amazing how much smaller it is compared to an original board. Minus the RAM board I think between my brother and I we definitely have enough donor parts (plus the kit coming). I admit I am really unsure at this stage when I will be able to tackle putting this together and I do apologise, but I wanted to support this project anyway. I will continue to do so, should there be more donations or sponsoring required. One day I want a super accelerated STOS machine!

Good thought, not sure of implications. I know the TT uses those for the SCSI terminations as they need to be removable.

I am trying to make my board as plugable as possible to make it easy to take things in or out or even patch things if necessary.

I use them on my test boosters.. OK for testing I guess, but wouldn't do it on a production board...

It may be a idea to socket the SIL next to the 1772 as that fix hasn't been tested a massive amount..

Just checked the PSU plate alignment and the 4 mounting holes are a bit off. 2 at the front line up but 2 at the back will need som attention in a future version. Again not a show stopper.
