Chaps,
Looking for a SCART cable for my STE.
I have one already but was supplied with the machine many moons ago and do not believe it is up to scratch.
Can someone recommend a seller who does actual good quality shielded cables, that are a marked improvement over the generic crap?
I can't see that Exxos makes/sells them?
Cheers

Re: SCART Cable recommendations?
I was going to make some, even got 100s of scart cables... But just no time.. And I couldn't source screened cable even so gave up in the end.
I think there's sellers on evilbay which sell such cables.. Not screened AFAIK.

I've mostly been happy with cables from coolnovelties.co.uk, they are affordable and quality is decent.
You can also check with a.mi.goun at AmiBay, I bought some very high quality cables from him. He does mostly Amiga and Commodore 8-bit machines, but I've seen he has some Atari cables too and he has also made bespoke cables for me.

I'd also recommend coolnovelties.co.uk, I've had quite a few cables from them over the years and had no problems. Quality is good and prices reasonable.Laupert wrote: 10 Jun 2021 08:00 I've mostly been happy with cables from coolnovelties.co.uk, they are affordable and quality is decent.

I also use Coolnovelties as a goto when I'm looking for a cable. I recently looked there for a Spectrum Next > Scart and there it was!. They are also cheap as chips and are built well.

You are a tease Exxos. I'd rather have bought a cable from here knowing it had been designed and extensively tested for known issues, with any recommended fixes.exxos wrote: 09 Jun 2021 23:42 I was going to make some, even got 100s of scart cables... Looks like I will stump up the money for one of those on eBay with the split off RCA connectors.
Exxos, please revisit this
Thanks all.

Re: SCART Cable recommendations?
Getting them made is not much of a problem, it is the end cost of building them, my price would end up being double what cool novelties charge, and as people generally gravitate towards eBay first, I cannot really see them ever selling unfortunately :( My plan was to do a screened version, so at least it was something more for the money, but the cable just does not exist :(

I see your point mate.
Maybe there isn't a market for them. I would have certainly paid extra for a really top quality cable, but can understand why other people wouldn't.

@EvilFranky Just since nobody else has recommended these guys: https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/atari/st
Retrogamingcables are highly regarded in the 'retro gaming' world for all consoles, so I would assume their ST cable is also of a high quality.
Plus it is screened cable:
"Constructed from custom screened cable especially made for Retro Gaming Cables."

Likely overall screened, not individually screened. When I was looking at cables it was physically to big to fit in the DIN!Steve wrote: 10 Jun 2021 15:53 Plus it is screened cable:
