I spent most of last night on this and eventually found out that the sysfsgpio cable has been removed from the relevant
file, xc3sprog.cpp in the latest update.
The error I get is basically that there is no sysfsgpio cable.
Following these instructions https://github.com/terriblefire/tf530/w ... spberry-Pi
and that led me to https://github.com/matrix-io/xc3sprog.
The question, which hopefully someone has an answer to, is there an alternative? or do I have to stuff about and remake the old
version. I am a bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff, but can usually sort everything out in the end.

I checked. Sysfs_gpio is still there all through the code... did you compile it correctly? have the correct libraries installed (wiringpi.h etc)

Re: Xilinx CPLD Raspberry Pi sysfsgpio alternative?
Thankyou very much for the replies, I have figured it out (I think)
sysfsgpio has been renamed to sysfsgpio_creator
I entered the following and both cpld's found
pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo xc3sprog -c sysfsgpio_creator
XC3SPROG (c) 2004-2011 xc3sprog project $Rev: 774 $ OS: Linux
Free software: If you contribute nothing, expect nothing!
Feedback on success/failure/enhancement requests:

Check Sourceforge for updates:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xc3sprog/develop
JTAG loc.: 0 IDCODE: 0x59604093 Desc: XC9572XL Rev: E IR length: 8
JTAG loc.: 1 IDCODE: 0x59608093 Desc: XC95144XL Rev: E IR length: 8
UPDATE - All appear to be programmed - will test tomorrow night hopefully on my Amiga after I get back from a Lan day at a friends.

Re: Xilinx CPLD Raspberry Pi sysfsgpio alternative?
I did program cplds using sysfsgpio_creator and it appears to take it and verify, so I guess they just renamed it.
There is another one sysfsgpio_voice or something? I think this is the reason for change.
