In other words, if you claim that a dump has been modified, the burden of proof is on you, not me !
My main point here is that file format has no direct relation with data verification. An IPF file can be completely different than the original. With current publicly available tools you don't even have to be an expert to create a fake IPF for that matter (not saying at all this is the case with images at the repository, just that it is possible).
