I've just been using gig92's Helios boot selector: https://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.p ... 15#p484715

You copy all files except the .prg to helios13\users\root, then run HELBOOT.PRG. Once it's loaded to the terminal and you want to startx, you need to type 'startx.net' when using multiple transputers.

Well that's annoying, it seems that atari-forum is down at the moment...

Not really. They are having the same problems Exxos used to have with AI scrapers, and had to put some filters in place. Try a different browser.

If you get a 403 - forbidden, it is the User Agent filter, and I've actually made it less harsh now, and more specific. It primarily blocks impossible combinations, and also expects legit users to have reasonably updated browsers, considering their OS. But there are a few rules, in some cases overlapping and accidentally causing unintended problems. If you have problem with this, I need your current User Agent.

Thanks. It's happening a lot to sites I frequent, Stardot has been super slow today, likely for the same reason.

However, I've tried Edge, Chrome, Firefox and Safari and the message has now changed to this:

Fingers crossed they can get over the issue. Fails on my mobile as well. I'm using a MacBook Pro M5 and it's fully up to date as are all my browsers, so I can only assume they are getting hammered.

I was logged in yesterday to AF (trying to post that I had found the problem with dml's XPtr and my setup),
when I was knocked off midstream. I wasn't able to get back on until literally this morning. Crazy stuff.

So I got HELBOOT to work, however I'm unsure it's working as I'd like/expect it to.

I selected option 2, however none of the options seem to specify a 425 CPU, and selecting 2 gives an error during startup.

Of course it still suggests that the CPUs booted but I don't see a performance improvement using startx.net.

Option 1 works fine and I don't get an error, option 3 and 4 give the same error and X won't start with option 4.

If I boot with option 1 I can use startns atm.map (This is a file I generated after installing the TRAM modules) and this does seem to start the extra CPUs:

And from there I use startx.net and like option 4 it hangs.

Any thoughts based on your experience? Thanks for all the help so far.

BTW I cannot access Atari-Forum with any browser at the moment, but I can access it using my mobile as long as WiFi is turned off. I have tried to use my personal hotspot, but no joy. Might try my VPN.
