Some users still using Hotmail etc and unable to post on the forum

I am sort of back, in a new iteration

Tried changing to using my work email, but I guess they have some block, so nothing came through from when I changed it before the weekend.
Then in a catch 22, locked out of old account and I could not find any contact details for Admin/Exxos without registering.

So setup another email account to register back here.

Now just need to ask for my Higgy2 email to be linked to my Higgy original account, then close Higgy2.

I'll sort that out...

Yes the email has become a huge problem like I've been saying for the past few years, but just no way to know my emails are being blocked all I know is that so far anything linked to Microsoft rejecting emails... This could also include domain names which then forward to Microsoft accounts...

I'm going to have to "nuke" your second account as emails can't be used twice...

higgy2 is deleted, Higgy now uses gmail address.. I've resent the activation email.. No doubt will go in your spam folder..

I tested the your old email domain and the server times out which could be why you are not getting the emails there...

That in itself is another problem because people sign up with domains and emails which after a couple years vanish and they don't update anything so their account remains broken because of it...

Incidentally anyone who needs to contact a moderator, you can generally shout out in other forums or Facebook groups because a lot of people here are on those groups anyway..

I used to have a contact admin button, but that got removed for a lot of reasons years ago.. Likely due to spam and constant "abuse" for every problem under the sun which I could not keep up with...

I only registered on this site because I want to order something a few years back, and I was made aware of this issue when I tried to check out recently in the shop. It specifically warns you about not receiving confirmations/receipts etc.

I use an yahoo.com account. If i get e-mails from exxosforum like welcome mail a few years back, and most recently, password reset mails, does that mean everything is correct?

I only ask this because I read gmail also have issues sometimes while not mentioned in the original post, so I wonder if more free mail services are affected.

@Esaka If you get a notification email from this mention then it works. Of course you need to have email notifications turned on in your settings as well.

There are likely issues with other email providers. I have not had issues with Yahoo.. yet.. But it's impossible for me to know which ones work and which don't. Some emails bounce back to me, but it be a fulltime job to keep track of them all.

Indeed *any* microsoft related emails will never work, microsoft keep blocking my server IP. Plus, Cloudflare block my server IP from various services more and more. So as half the internet runs through Cloudflare theses days.. good luck.

Logged in forum users can use that URL to send a test email to their logged in email address. Address to test can also be changed. The page is rate limited per hour.

Emails are sent immediately. If you do not get the email within 10 mins, its either in your spam, or your email server sucks.

NOTE - Likely all microsoft hosted emails and anything going through Cloudflare will likely not arrive.

It's impossible for me to know which ones work and which ones don't. If any "common" domains do not work, post below and I will put them in the blacklist so others don't try to sign up with that domain in the future !
