16MB Simm and Falcon RAM card

Post by CiH »

This is definitely a nOOb question, but better safe than sorry.

I've ordered the Falcon RAM card and 16MB Simm from the Exxos shop and have now got this. Commendably quick service, thank you.

This is just to confirm that the Simm is plugged into the ram card with the memory chips facing up to me and not the other way round.

No issue with the ram card, as dissimilar connectors there.

72-pin SIMMs are asymmetric meaning you can't physically fit them the wrong way around.

I took a deep breath, put it all together and installed it in the CT60 Falcon.

All good 👍

Nice to enjoy the 'Rift' demo with a complete soundtrack!

Various checking things confirms the 14MB is present and correct.
