Yep. The quirkier the better. We already have a pushbike powered MIDI instrument demonstration (that Im looking forwards to seeing). :)

That would be grand.

Just wanted to put it out there, for those who are not looking forwards to the long drive to Toddington, Bedford...

I - along with my other half - will be staying a couple of nights in the Premier Inn at Willen Lake, just outside Milton Keynes:

There is a restaurant next door, from which you can order breakfast, as well as a nearby park and lake. There are activities to do and even a Ferris Wheel!:

Its great if you want to make a weekend out of the trip to break up the driving. :)

Let me know if you want any more details.

This looks like such a cool event. I'm in the U.S., but my grandmother was from Wellingborough and I have extended family who live in the area. Someday I need to arrange a trip to visit them, coinciding with the date for Cyber Legends.

@Kirkman would be great to see some more international guys at the event. :)

And while I am here...

Cyberlegends 4 is only a month away now, so if you are coming, it may be time to think about getting your display bits together - if you are exhibiting - and getting hold of an entry and/or raffle ticket.

It would be great if people could buy their entry/raffle tickets online in advance, as while we can take payment on the door, it ties up extra resources which could be better used on the day. Thank you for your consideration on that matter.

Again, here are all the details you should need: viewtopic.php?t=7783

If theres anything else you need to know, either PM me or contact me on this thread.

Hopefully see you there? :D

I've bought the tickets for myself and my partner.

As for what I'm going to display, good question. I usually bring the prototype display for November's retro computing festival in Cambridge but this year's "games" theme is proving to be difficult to make a display for. I'm not really a games person and so trying to make something interesting that other people haven't seen 1000 times before is tricky.

I may just bring my test Sinclair QL on its board with the Pi Pico based USB keyboard adapter.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

That sounds like a retro computer to me. I think it will be just fine. :)

Stephen, you put on one of the - if not *the* best displays at CL every year. No need to worry about having to maintain a comprehensive exhibition.

Perhaps you are entitled to a little bit of a break this time?

A bit OT, but while I remember to ask, did you buy one of the ATW800/2 cards?

No I didn't. They do look like a bit of fun though.

Random question, I know.

I was just trying to see how many people were coming to CL who may be possibly bringing one.

I think Steve and Jez may be.

Depends on having time to set it up properly before the event for me...next couple of weekends are written off ferrying the kids to their respective universities for the start of term.

I really need to put an Exxos PSU in that mega so I can install a couple of TRAMs and not cook everything like the standard PSU tends to...not to mention installing the latest s/w.

Hoping to have some time but not confident that will happen...

TL;DR - I'm still coming but not sure what I will bring yet

Fair enough.

Actually, I need to have a PSU buying spree; Mega St and a couple of C64 ones too! Thanks for reminding me.

Well I will probably bring mine, mainly because I dont seem to have it set up properly - directory wise perhaps? - as any demos/utils I try to run show a quick message that goes too quick for me to read, so hoping @Steve can see whats wrong.

Ironically, Ive invested quite some time in using that card, but coding GFX and learning Occam rather than running the included SW.
