Using the forum mentions function

I've observed occasional instances where individuals quote extensive text but respond with just one line. I kindly request everyone to refrain from this practice and either condense the quoted text or utilize the mentions extension. This will enhance the reading experience for others, as scrolling through a lengthy block of text for a brief response can be cumbersome.

To use the extension is simple, just start with the @ and start typing who you want to mention. A box will pop up with users as you type.

For example

Simply click on the user in the box you want to mention and that is it!

Alternatively if you prefer the BBcode style, this also does the same job but without the pop down menu.

Seriously though it is a great feature to use mentions and the person will get a notification.
