This is a new one! Rather puzzled over it. I don't use worldpay anyway, hate that company.

Cannot really find anything about it online but it looks like it's on the genuine website.
But not really following what the problem is supposed to be in the first place. The gist I get is if customers repeatedly fail to checkout, then the seller gets fined. Seems like a eBay tactic to me, punish the sellers because the buyers are stupid type thing. Kind of defeats the object of having extra security for sellers they going to fined if people mess it up
I don't use worldpay I use stripe and their system. So its kinda out of my hands for the most part I presume. All I do is send the amount to bill the customer to Stripe and its all Stripes system. Their system reports pass or fail for the payment then my store code decides if to process the order or not.
EDIT:
I have emailed Stripe about it.

I don't think they are legally allowed to call it a fine.

Still no reply from Stripe yet. Their support and responsiveness always seems on a decline these days :(
I got my girlfriend to read it. Her take on it is you get charged if you don't use 2FA methods. But I set that up like 2 or 3 years ago. It's all taken care of by Stripes system anyway.

My take is a similar one to your other half.
They expect MFA to be used and where it fails, they expect retries to be made to a certain level. I don't think this is great, because if there is a soft decline, it may be because the card being used is compromised.
Though I guess they are covering the accidental issues for genuine users.

Go a reply from Stripe. Not sure it really helps. Worldpay stuff won't effect Stripe stuff no, but that wasn't exactly what I was asking. Its unclear if they are comparing against worldpay or mastercard. I assume worldpay. Stripe haven't specifically said they not implementing the changes which seem to be set by mastercard. Ah well. I will just ignore it all and hope the problem doesn't happen.
Hi Chris,
Thank you for contacting Stripe. I can see you have a query regarding the email which you’ve received from Worldpay. I am here to assist.
Upon checking the screenshot regarding the Mastercard soft decline, we request you to get in touch with Worldpay, as they are the one who are implementing the changes.
Additionally, regarding your query is it going to impact your Stripe payments or not. Please be assured that there will be no impact on your Stripe payments.
Feel free to contact us if you have any issues. We will be happy to help.
Regards
Jaideep
