Finally received the Evercade EXP after its release on Thursday.
I will do an in-depth review once I have played with it a bit more.

I hope that it works nicely.
I'd have preferred Atari and William's arcade consoles to Capcom. I was never into beat-em-ups. :-) Probably my age.

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Re: Evercade EXP - Early Xmas Present
I have been on and off for some time but when they released some interesting carts I was drawn in. Plus I have found out there is a homebrew cart EverSD that allows the ability to add other emulations such as PS1 and others. https://eversd.com (look in FQ section)rubber_jonnie wrote: 17 Dec 2022 15:22 Nice, I have been looking at them, they seem really good value for money. Capcom just provided the bundled games there are many more carts including an Atari Lynx and C64 compilation.stephen_usher wrote: 17 Dec 2022 15:28 I hope that it works nicely.

I see. I was thinking about the original arcade versions. Proper vector graphics Lunar Lander, Asteroids, Gravitar & Star Wars (Atari) and then proper William's Defender and Joust. :-)Icky wrote: 17 Dec 2022 16:53Capcom just provided the bundled games there are many more carts including an Atari Lynx and C64 compilation.stephen_usher wrote: 17 Dec 2022 15:28 I hope that it works nicely.

@rubber_jonnie, I see on another platform you have got hold of the VS version. I am still loving my EXP version and the Amiga games have started to appear on the cartridges.

Re: Evercade EXP - Early Xmas Present
You did indeed, and I'm pretty impressed. Build quality is great and being able to install 2 game carts at once is cool, so you can have different mixes of game type. The price of the carts is impressively cheap too.Icky wrote: 06 Aug 2023 09:53 @rubber_jonnie, I see on another platform you have got hold of the VS version. IIRC the carts are universal and work in both the EXP and VS. It's something you could easily drop in a bag and take away with you, and the set I got:
Was just over £100 on Amazon, so good value for money IMHO. I didn't get the portable version on account of having so many portable machines already.

I think I need to add a VS to my wish list, looks like a great classic console.

Re: Evercade EXP - Early Xmas Present
@rubber_jonnie, only thing I would say is try and get all the legacy cartridges before they run out.
I think they were originally just made for the previous handheld but work on the VS and EXP
