OK its got confusing... but using 6,7,8 as right direction.. I think you drew the middle pins offset the wrong way.. should be like this...

Yes that’s an interesting pattern I have never seen on an ST. It happens on every power on and reset.

That is my next item. I have a spare rom chip from your store already. Thought I would reprogram with DiagROM - any pointers?
Tasks for today:
- Put DiagROM on ROM chip
- Hunt for USB to Serial Cable - I have one somewhere
- Most likely my USB to Serial Cable is 9pin D-SUB so will have to build an adaptor to the STF Serial port.
