Question: If you have the TOS ROM Decoder installed on your H5 which is connected to JP13, do you unplug it for the Trudie? Or do they somehow share it? Sorry if this is a silly question... :)

Yep. Decoder is built into Trudie so you don't need 2 decoders.Steve wrote: 02 Sep 2021 11:59 Question: If you have the TOS ROM Decoder installed on your H5 which is connected to JP13, do you unplug it for the Trudie?

One more question: I was trying to flash a pre-existing HD-DRIVER CF-card image that I'd prepared earlier from another Atari, Trudies lights *both* light up but I'm not seeing any Gemdos drives at all. Is this because I need to create the disk image from scratch from within the Atari with the Trudie itself? (using Emutos)

You need to format the card on a PC ( DOS compatible).

Okay I'm having trouble (of course) - I formated the CF card (Transcend 4gb) to msdos compatible, created one 250mb FAT16 partition. Put in the Trudie. On boot, Emutos says no gemdos drives. Both Trudies lights are on (orange/green) for a few seconds, then they both turn off together.

Trudie needs HD9 or higher. I doubt EMUTOS built in driver will work unless someone updates it to work. I never actually thought about it until now. Similar with PP's driver, I doubt that will work either.Steve wrote: 03 Sep 2021 09:59 Okay I'm having trouble (of course) - I formatted the CF card (Transcend 4gb) to msdos compatible, created one 250mb FAT16 partition. From the very first post :
Trudie has been tested with HD8.47 and HD11.01 by Uwe Seimet www.hddriver.net to use Trudie. No other drivers are likely to work and have indeed not been tested. Setup partitions as usual in HDdriver as TOS & WINDOWS compatible, DO NOT turn on byteswapping!

Ok, I guess I'll have to wait until I get my floppy drive issues sorted then. Thx.

Re: TRUDIE V5.2 (5 volt) pre-release install guide
Hoping someone can help point out what will be obvious when I know the answer... ;)
I've got my TRUDIE v5.2 plugged into my H4 & appears to be working fine...but how do I change the ROM image selection (bottom/top or top/bottom) now the TRUDIE is installed?
I'm hoping it's still controlled via JP1...but wanted to ask before I break my H4 (again)...or @PhilC will be after me for stealing his job!
  :poke: :hide: :fire: :fire: :fire:
TIA
