1.44 floppy mod Assembly guide?

Update your old 720k to a 1.44 drive etc.

No, not at all..
Pins 19/20 of the Yamaha are the bottom left two pins.

It starts with pin 1 on the upper left (where you see the small notch indicating this), goes down lower left side to pin 20, then lower right side pin 21, then up to pin 40
All DIP chips are numbered like this!

Regardless how this is shown in schematics

Wow, that was quick - package is here already. 4 days shipping time from
the UK to Kentucky in the US? That's pretty amazing.

Now, I've got some (more) soldering to do.

and 1.44 HD floppy mod board correct.

BTW, do the extra "ground to motherboard" (black) wires in the earlier versions
still need to be done with v7.x?

Orientation looks correct by your previous 1772 image.

Don't know what wire your referring to... There's only the DS pads to solder to force 720k mode for internal or external drives.. and the 2 wires which goto the YM.
