I'm using a SD4ST+, and for a long time saving and loading went fine. But yesterday, after saving a file to the SD card, the entire SD card only showed garbage.
The file in question was a song from Notator, which hadn't given any problems before. The STE has a new PSU from SidecarTridge that hasn't given any problems.
I read about DMA problems (My STE has a C025913-38 DMA chip), but after reading this: https://forums.atariage.com/topic/30504 ... s-to-know/, could it just be that I was reading and writing to the same partition under Linux as well as using my Atari?

I had the same problem. I use a Atari Mega ST4 and HDDriver. Everything was fine for a long time, but at some point—while simply saving or writing a file—virtually all the files in the root directory of the C: partition suddenly became corrupted and couldn't be deleted the normal way.
I don't think much of that cheap hardware.

I don't know much about SD4ST+ mini but I have been using a cheap ACSI2STM for months and months and I've never had an issue. TOS 1.04 with ICD Pro driver.frank.lukas wrote: Sat Aug 08, 2026 6:24 pm I don't think much of that cheap hardware. Buy a Ultrasatan ...

Re: SD garbadged. FAT15 problem?
So should I be able to write things to the SD card on my PC? I have an MSX that also uses FAT12 for its floppies and does use FAT16 for its SD card, but that route would be a bit of a hassle.
