Me to, I hate cables. No chance of me building them..

Looking at the pinout, if 4 & 12 are swapped, maybe "Front to back" is wrong and the whole row is backwards...

At the moment I think the top row of pins are tapped with the bottom. Am still working on the patch. Am going to see if I can do it on the board.

Its an easy thing to do with din sockets to get the whole thing mirrored.

When i was searching for monitor pinouts you rarely see things like "looking at plug" or "looking at socket" which when there's 12V involved it can be critical.

Still, might explain why I've popped two shifters too over the last few days?

Assuming the connector pinout is flipped so looking the right direction, pin 1 would be correct, and pin 9 opposite :shrug:

I have checked the middle row and 12V is correct so we were lucky there. That could of caused some damage.

I don't get how I could end up with 2 rows upside down .. I mean the top of the connector pins would have to go to the back of the connector, so pins 1-4 would have to be at the back where I put them ?!

I metered a socket and pin 1 goes to the back, so seems right to me :pullhair:

oh no its not....

The symbol is actually wrong, it doesn't match what I labeled on the PCB...

pin 1 & 5 are swapped.. the only pins which are actually right are 6,7,8 :(
